The way to suppress the raised Voice
Just after Indian Govt bowed down to the Anna Hazare team on the issue of Jan Lokpal bill after rising of the people of India, they have started actions which looks more vindictive in nature than procedural.
Indian govt. seems to be at embarrassing situation after Manish Tiwari called Anna Hazare a corrupt man and was later had to eat back the word of embarrassment.
Indian govt. had no clue how to respond after being bowed down one after another time to team Anna.
Let’s check out how is embarrassed govt. of India have responded to team Anna.
Baba Ramdev:
a) The first in the successful target for Indian Govt. has been Baba Ramdev. First the meet was attacked by the Govt., then fire was set on stage, sleeping peoples were attacked and Baba Ramdev was made to fly Dehradun.
b) Baba Ramdev’s close associate was accused of being non-Indian (Nepali)
c) Balakrishna was also accused of manipulating documents to get Indian passport.
d) Latest, Ramdev medical business has been targeted for violation of foreign exchange.
Kiran Bedi:
She is accused of insulting Indian parliament members by using certain gesture and copying the act.
We seem to have forgotten that Only Indian parliament members have been vested rights to mock/abuse each other. They also have the right to through chairs and slippers on each other. And they do what not but these are supposed to be prerogative for only Indian parliament/assembly members.
Prashant Bhushan:
Prashant Bhushan has received a breach of privilege notice for his remarks against parliamentarians, the second Team Anna member to get such a notice. He has been accused of using derogatory words against MPs and has been asked to file a reply.
Arvind Kejriwal:
IT dept. Notice
The Income Tax department notice says Kejriwal has dues of Rs 9 lakh which arose because of a breach of service bond and the accumulation of interest on a loan. According to the notice, Kejriwal also took a computer loan of Rs 50,000 on which the accumulated interest now comes to be Rs 1lakh.
The notice was served a week before Anna Hazare began his 16 August fast.
What importantly has to be looked at the timing of these events?
Everyone is questioning the timing and charges of the notice. And at first note it looks vindictive than procedural.
Prashant Bhushan statement : “If speaking truth in public interest amounts to breach of privilege, then time has come for the country to review the whole notion of parliamentary privileges,” seems to be right in such condition.
